Cake Pops: So much fun to make and I am enjoying them!! New design, and better technique. It is true, practice makes man perfect! It is okay to make mistakes but, it is fun to learn from your mistakes too.
These pretty colorful pops were made for our friends with colorful personality! Cherag and Parinaaz with their 2 beautiful kids moved to a new place and we were invited over for dinner. What perfect gift would I have taken for a chocolate lover! So I planned to make chocolate pops with chocolate frosting and chocolate candy. Triple chocolate yum!
Here is the link to:
Baked chocolate cake.
Once the cake cools, crumble it in a large bowl.
Add 1 cup of chocolate frosting and mix well to form a soft dough.
You should be able to make small balls.
Add more frosting if the dough feels dry and cracky.
Make smooth round balls and set it aside in a tray lined with parchment paper.
Melt chocolate candy in a microwave for 30-45 seconds.
Dip a lollipop stick in melted chocolate and slowly and gently insert in a cake ball.
As the chocolate candy hardens, it glue the lollipop stick to the cake ball.
Refrigerate for 2 hours.
Melt chocolate candy or any flavor you like.
Gently dip chocolate ball in it.
Let excess chocolate drip and let it dry.
I like to use a large foam box to poke the lollipop sticks and for chocolate candy to dry.
For colorful designs: put few candy chips in a ziplock bad and microwave for 30 seconds.
Press with your fingers to melt them.
Snap the corner for candy to flow out.
Let the candy flow while you make patterns of your choice.
Let the pops dry well.
I used this round bowl to decorate them.
Wrap few foam pieces in a tissue or crinkled tissue of your choice.
Start arranging the pops around the bowl.
Wrap in a plastic sheet or basket bag.
And you are ready for the party!
These will surely be a party winner!
lovely i like your creation..will surely try it.
